Ancient Japanese wooden stool. 
It was made in the early Showa period (1900s-1940s).  
It is a very innovative and dynamic piece of furniture. 
The shiny black colour is also beautiful.  
Recommended as a flower stand or side table.  A rare piece of Japanese furniture with a wabi-sabi sensibility.
