This is a very old black primitive chair made in Japan. The furniture is from the Meiji period (1860s-1900s). The material is cedar wood.

The chair was carved from a single large cedar tree. It is very dynamic and has a strong presence. The black color is also beautiful. It is a very rare Japanese furniture with a wabi-sabi aesthetic.
